Lions are scary.
We can help you tame this one.

If you find OS X 10.7 Lion's new install procedure a little intimidating, you're not alone. For the first time ever, Apple is not providing the OS on CD or DVD, but making it available exclusively for download from the Mac App Store.

It's always important to backup your Mac before attempting software updates or system upgrades, but because the Lion installer must be downloaded and run from your computer's startup disc rather than CD or DVD, it's more important than ever to make sure your Mac is running smoothly and properly backed up to an external drive. If you're not backed up and the install fails for some reason, all of your data could be gone. Not fun.

The truth is, a upgrading to a new OS is a great time for essential system maintenance for your Mac, and to review your data backup plan. (you do have a backup plan, right? We thought so. We're happy to help if you don't)

Not sure where to begin? Don't have time to do it yourself? We're here to help.
